Who can rent a car from Sturty Cars?

Anyone 25 or older with a valid U.S. driver’s license, proof of insurance, proof of residence, and a clean driving record. 

What documents do I need to rent a car?

How much is the weekly rental fee?

Prices vary depending on the vehicle, but most rentals range from $250–$450 per week, plus a non-refundable or refundable security deposit may be required depending on information provided.

Is insurance included in the rental?

Most drivers use platform-provided coverage (like Uber or DoorDash insurance). If not, we offer insurance options at booking or require you to have a personal policy with proof.

How long is the rental period?

We offer daily, weekly and monthly options. Renewals are easy — just pay 6 hours by your due date each week to keep the vehicle.

What if I need the car for just a few days?

We offer daily rates.

Is there a mileage limit?

No, there is no mileage limit.

Do you provide roadside assistance or maintenance?

Yes, basic maintenance is included, and roadside assistance is available for emergencies. Your rental packet in the glove box will have all pertinent information needed.

What happens if I get a ticket or toll fee?

You’re responsible for any tickets, tolls, or violations during your rental. We do offer pre-paid toll options at $10 per day, however if toll bills are incurred you will be billed appropriately with convenience fees added.

Do I need to return the car with a full tank of gas?

Yes. Cars should be returned with the same fuel level as when you received them.

Can I switch vehicles after renting?

Yes, depending on availability. Let us know in advance if you’d like to upgrade or try a different vehicle. Fee differences may apply.

Is there a deposit?

Yes, deposits range from $100-$200 depending on the vehicle.

How do I pay for my rental?

We accept payments via credit/debit card, Zelle, or other agreed-upon methods.

What happens if I forget to pay to extend my rental?

If your rental extension isn’t paid on time, late fees will apply to the past due balance:

A $25 late fee is applied if the balance is 12 hours past due

A $50 late fee is applied if the balance is 24 hours past due

To avoid late fees or disruption of service, please make sure to pay before your rental period ends. If you need help extending, contact us as soon as possible.

Can I drive the car out of state?

Can I drive the car out of state?
No, the rental agreement is that the vehicle remains in the city rented from or surrounding areas. Out of state/country is not permitted.

What should I do if the car breaks down or I have a mechanical issue?

All Sturty Cars rentals come with 24/7 roadside assistance. If your car breaks down, has a flat tire, or runs out of gas, you’re covered. Just check the glove box — you’ll find your rental packet with your contract number and the roadside assistance number to call for immediate help.

What should I do if I’ve been in an accident or emergency?

Your safety comes first. If you’re in an accident:

  1. Call 911 immediately if anyone is injured or in danger.

  2. Then contact Sturty Cars right away — all accidents and damage, no matter how minor, must be reported to us.
    Check your rental packet in the glove box for our emergency contact number and the steps to follow.
